A short list of things you will never be charged.
No initial fees. No implementation fees. No exit fees. One ongoing advice fee — minimum £3,000, capped at £12,000 a year — at one of two transparent levels, depending on the complexity of your plan.
Six things we will never bend on.
However we structure individual fees, these six hold.
Simple and clear.
You should always know exactly what you're paying, and why. No small print. No surprises. No invoices that need decoding.
No fees just to start.
Initial fees are a barrier between you and good advice. We don't take them. The first time you pay us anything, your money is already invested.
Fees compound — so they matter.
Every 0.10% in fees is a 0.10% lower return for the rest of your life. Small differences today become large ones over decades. What matters is the total cost you pay — across advice, platform and the underlying investments — and that's what we keep an eye on.
Capped — large portfolios don’t subsidise small ones.
Our fee stops growing at £12,000 a year — so a larger portfolio never pays more than a smaller one for the same work.
Every cost, in writing, up front.
You'll see every charge — advice, platform and underlying investments — in pounds and pence before anything is implemented. Where a product pays us a commission rather than a separate fee, we tell you exactly what we'll receive, in writing, before you proceed.
All-in support.
Meetings, calls, ad-hoc questions, annual reviews, cashflow updates — included. We don't bill by the hour because we don't want you to hesitate to pick up the phone.
One ongoing advice fee, at one of two levels.
Which level applies depends on the complexity of your plan rather than the size of your portfolio. We assess this during the discovery meeting and confirm it in writing before any engagement begins.
Accumulation. Simpler.
- You're still building your retirement pot, not drawing from it.
- Your wealth is held across no more than two wrappers (e.g. ISA + pension).
- A single investment strategy fits the whole plan.
- An annual review meeting is enough.
Full planning. Complex.
- You're approaching, entering or already in retirement.
- Multiple pensions, ISAs, GIAs, bonds or trusts need coordinating.
- Drawdown sequencing, phased retirement or tax-efficient withdrawal modelling.
- Estate planning, gifting, or intergenerational considerations.
- Multiple cashflow models, re-run through the year as things change.
Which level applies is determined by the work involved in your plan. We confirm this with you at the end of the discovery meeting, in writing, before any engagement begins. If circumstances change and a Level 2 plan becomes simpler over time, we'll move you down to Level 1 at the next review.
What it actually costs, in pounds.
Pick a service level and a portfolio size. Below is the total all-in cost — advice plus platform plus the underlying investments — in pounds and pence.
£750,000 portfolio
Level 2 · Full planning- A named planner who knows your plan. No call centre, no junior associate.
- A full cashflow model, built up front and re-run whenever life changes.
- Unlimited calls and questions. We don't bill by the hour.
- Every annual review meeting and plan update, in person or online.
- ISA, pension and CGT allowances managed across the year — not left to March.
- Continuous investment monitoring, with action only when it's warranted.
The platform and underlying-investment costs above are paid to third parties, not to us. Our advice fee is the part that buys the relationship.
Illustration only. Actual fees depend on your circumstances, the underlying investments recommended for you, and your platform tier. A minimum advice fee of £3,000 per annum applies at both levels. The advice fee is capped at £12,000 per annum, so the effective advice rate falls below 0.80% on portfolios above approximately £1.5m.
No hourly rates. No clock-watching.
The ongoing fee covers everything listed here, with no separate charges for any of it. We don't want you hesitating to pick up the phone.
